Winter on skis

A winter in the Dolomites ensures a wide range of experiences. Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ski mountaineering are just some of the numerous activities available in the holiday regions of Alta Badia and Cortina d'Ampezzo, both of which make part of Dolomiti Superski. Here no day is the same thanks to comfortable connections between different ski areas and to exciting ski tours that allow to explore various slopes and landscapes. The long (more than 8 km) and exciting slope "Armentarola" that leads from Lagazuoi (Cortina d'Ampezzo) to Sarè (Armentarola, Alta Badia), passing by the Scotoni Mountain Hut, has been recognized several times among the most picturesque runs in Italy. It makes part of three ski tours: the Tour of Lagazuoi, the Super8 Ski Tour and the famous First World War Tour. Next to the Hut there is still another attraction – impressive frozen waterfalls, where, accompanied by mountain guides, you can try your ice climbing skills.
