The surroundings of the Sco- toni cottage were theatre of the First World War. In fact, in this area sinister battles between the Italian and Austrian Armies took place and today you can still see the tunnels that the soldiers built to overlook and defend the front line. You shoud also visit the small cha- pel in honour of all war victims and take the opportunity to learn more about the history
of the Dolomites.
